It’s made me more introspective
Not constantly posting has given me time to actually think about what I want to talk about and to actually take the time and think about things more.
I have less time and patience for performative content
This goes for the content I’m consuming and creating. Go off and love a book and scream it from the rooftops, but posts making books your entire personality and implying because you have loads of books somehow makes you special – no thanks.
I don’t need to be posting all the time
Seriously, once or twice a week is more than enough, I have 3 posts regularly on the blog now and that’s perfect.
The algorithm is going to algorithm
I’m posting for myself, not a software program.
Taking a step back was exactly what I needed
Not posting constantly anymore is so freeing. I’m not worried about if a post is doing well and for the first time in months writing and creating again is fun and enjoyable.

Books & Other Pursuits 
“The algorithm is going to algorithm” is the truest thing ever! I did not return to blogging to satisfy the algorithm – I literally wanted a place to record our gardening/general adventures and experiments, and my books. Did I hope it would find an audience and grow a community? Of course. That’s partly why I put it online and not in a physical notebook, lol … But I’m not trying to use all the buzz words or meet some magical posting schedule that makes the algorithm happily shove me into the void. (Especially on instagram: I’m pretty sure I broke it, LOL!)
