Review
I’ve been excited to read this book ever since Josie and Clay were introduced in What a I should’ve Said. This is told in two parts, past events of Joise and Clay meeting and falling in love then more present events including the events of What I Should’ve Said, leading all the way to the present day. I did enjoy this story telling I felt it gave good picture of everything that happened, I thought the pacing of their initial connect was little fast than what I normally like. The build up to the big thing that Josie was hiding felt like to ages to get there, most of which I did piece together before it all came about on the page.
I enjoyed both Clay and Josie although they both had their moments the frustrated me, Clay for being all act now and think later and Josie for keeping so much to herself, but for the most part I thought they are great. As I mentioned above the story do go back to the past and we do revisit the events of WISS, just from Clay and Josie’s POV, reading some of these parts were tough, they were tough enough the first time and yet again I cried a lot. This book series is definitely more emotionally taxing vs the normal hilarity you would expect from MM so be prepared for that.
Overall this was a good read I’m giving it a solid 4 stars because it kept me engaged and I think it’s a great edition, plus I think I’ve worked out who the next book is going to be focused on.
