The Friday 5: Five Books That Shaped My Readeing Life

Happy Friday, and welcome back to Friday Five!

If you’re new here, the idea is simple: every Friday I share five bookish picks around a different theme. Sometimes it’ll be books, sometimes characters, tropes, playlists, adaptations, or anything else that gets us talking.

This week’s theme is: Five books that shaped my readeing life

Whether you’re looking for your next read or just fancy a bit of bookish chat, here are my five picks.

1. Winnie The Witch

This was one of my absolute favourties when I was a child, I read it soo much.

2. The Princess Diaries

This book got me through so much during my teen years. I loved spending time with Mia.

3. Twilight

There was a time where I was fully obsessed with this book and then the movie happened and I haven’t been able to read it since.

4.  Marked (House of Night)

I read this one while I was in Uni, randomly picked it up in Waterstone’s and got hooked!

5. A Court of Thorns and Roses

I’m sure I’ve spoken about my ACOTAR journey before but I found this one 18 months after it was released on another aythors facebook group. I added it to my tbr and then did’t read it for like another 3 months. I remember the first time I read it not being that impressed until got to the last 200 pages and then poof I was in!

Your Turn!

What would make are the books that shaped your reading life?

If you have a blog, why not join in? Write your own Friday Five, whether you choose this week’s theme or come up with one of your own, and leave me a link in the comments. I’d love to read it!
