Zinnia
Falling for a stranger over coffee? Fine. Learning heโs your art history professor? Problem.
Nick is guarded, intense, and so tightly wound I ache to unravel him. I know itโs wrong to pursue my professor, but he keeps showing up anywayโat the coffee shop, outside of classโas if he canโt stay away any more than I can. As if this is inevitable.
Iโve never been a person who stays. I wouldnโt even know how. But the more I try to let him go, the more I realize he might be the one Iโm finally ready to choose.
Nick
I donโt blur lines. I donโt indulge feelings.
And I definitely donโt get involved with students.
But I met Zinnia before I knew who she was. Before the lecture halls, before the rules, before I had anything to lose. With her, I forgot myself. The restraint. The control. The life I built to keep everything, especially desire, in check.
Now she sits in my classroom, looking at me as if she knows exactly who I am beneath it all.
I should end this before it starts. Because sheโs not only a risk to my career, sheโs a risk to everything I thought I was.

Review
This is the 5th book in the Forbidden on Fruit Street Series and follows the Story of Zinnia and Nick who are brand new characters.
Zinnia is back in New York for the Summer to spend some time with her Grandmother, who surprises her by signing her up to some Summer art classes, itโs here that she meets Nick who just so happens to be her professor.
This is an age gap romance, Zinnia is 25 and Nick is 42. It has all the classic forbidden love vibes. I enjoyed the pacing of the relationship, there was no insta love so that was good. I thought Nick was a little hard to like in the beginning but he did grow on me and Zinnia was a delight, very mature for her age.
I had fun with this book. It was the perfect light read, I really love Jenโs books. She somehow manages to get me to get me swept up into the story no matter what story she is telling.
My Rating: 4/5 ๐๐๐๐
