She doesnโt believe in magic. He is magic. But when they meet, a spark is lit, and neither will ever be the sameโin this charming new stand-alone in the Witches of West Harbor series from New York Times bestselling author Meg Cabot.
Frankie
A trained therapist, Francesca Giovanni knows thereโs a scientific explanation for everything. Unfortunately, she lives in West Harbor, CT, a town thatโs recently exploded in popularity thanks to โwitch tourism.โ Suddenly, witches are everywhere, offering locals their psychic services. Frankieโs fine with thisโฆuntil aspiring teenage witches begin to disappear, and strange things start happening in the lake house next door. Frankie begins to suspect not all newcomers to West Harbor have the good of the community in mindโespecially not her new neighbor, Ash Merit.
Ash
Ash Merit finds lost thingsโand peopleโfor a living. All he wants is to help his clients, and maybe get to know the stunningly beautiful (and newly single) Dr. Frankie Giovanni a little better. But thanks to some troublesome young witchesโnot to mention his often faulty psychic โsuperpowerโโeverything goes wrong. If only Frankie wasnโt so distractingly attractiveโฆand so unwilling to admit there might not be a logical reason for everything, including the flames that ignite whenever the two of them kiss. Ash hopes to change that, but first he and Frankie have to find the missing girls, as well as the truth about whatโs happening in West Harborโฆa truth that could change everything they thought they knew about themselvesโand the magic of love.

Review
There really is magic in this book. I really loved the characters Franki and Ash were so interesting and fun, the banter was fire.
The Supernatural elements were great and the story just kept surprising me at every turn. There are 3 stories going on at once, Frankieโs pov and what’s going on in her life. Ashโs pov, we get to see there’s more to him than what Frankie knows and then there’s Emmaโs, the missing girl that Ash is on the hunt to find.
Ash was such an interesting character, I had such a great time reading from his perspective, his observations about cat behaviour had me absolutely howling! And Frankie who is a bit more serious but still bloody hilarious and I loved her family!
The book really reminded me of how magical Megโs writing is and now I must read Enchanted to Meet You because I cannot get enough of this cute little world she has created.
My Rating: 5/5 ๐๐๐๐๐

About the Author
Meg Cabot is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of books for both adults and tweens/teens. Born in the year of the Fire Horse (a notoriously unlucky astrological sign) and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, Meg also lived in Grenoble, France and Carmel, California (the setting for her bestselling Mediator series) before moving to New York City after graduating with a bachelorโs degree in fine arts from Indiana University.
After working for ten years as an assistant residence hall director at New York University (an experience from which she occasionally drew inspiration for her best-selling Heather Wells mystery series), Meg wrote The Princess Diaries series, which was made into several hit movies by Disney, despite been banned in several countriesโas well as multiple US school librariesโfor its frank and humorous depictions of female empowerment.
While over 25 million copies of Megโs 100+ published books have been sold in 38 countries, Megโs most proud of being banned for speaking out about womenโs rights, and for the letters sheโs received from fans thanking her for helping them to not only overcome their โdislike of reading,โ but their feelings of depression.
Some of Megโs other fan favorite books include the 1-800-Where-R-You? series (which has been reprinted under the title Vanished and made into the Lifetime series Missing), as well as All-American Girl; Ready or Not (Megโs most banned book), and Avalon High (on which an original Disney Channel movie was based), and several books told entirely in emails and text messages (Boy Next Door/Boy Meets Girl/Every Boyโs Got One/The Boy is Back).
Megโs first ever adult book in the Princess Diaries series, Royal Wedding, has turned into a popular gift for new brides. It was followed by Quarantine Princess Diaries in 2023. 10% of Megโs proceeds from the sales of this book are going to real life royal Princess Mabel van Oranje of the Netherlandsโ charity to end child marriage (www.vowforgirls.org). A new Princess Diaries series for younger readers, From the Notebook of a Middle School Princess, which Meg also illustrated, debuted in 2015, and was followed by three sequels.
In 2019, Meg authored a Black Canary graphic novel for DC Zoom for middle-grade readers with illustrator Cara McGee, and in 2026, she will launch a new graphic novel series for kids, The Detective Baby, with illustrator Amelia Allore. All of the books Megโs two new adult contemporary series, one set on the fictional Little Bridge Island in the Florida Keys, and the other in the fictional village of West Harbor, CT, focus on a different couple and their sometimes humorous, sometimes serious romantic struggles, but are guaranteed to have a Happily Ever After (with plenty of sunshine, margaritas, and occasional magic spells).
Meg Cabot (her last name rhymes with habit, as in โher books can be habit formingโ) currently lives in Key West, Florida with her husband and various cats. If you see her husband, please do not tell him that he married a fire horse, as he has not figured it out yet.
