Happy Friday, and welcome back to Friday Five!
If you’re new here, the idea is simple: every Friday I share five bookish picks around a different theme. Sometimes it’ll be books, sometimes characters, tropes, playlists, adaptations, or anything else that gets us talking.
This week’s theme is: Five side characters who deserved the main character treatment
Whether you’re looking for your next read or just fancy a bit of bookish chat, here are my five picks.
1. Fenrys Moonbeam – Throne of Glass
Ahh Fenrys become one of my favourites after reading Kindom of Ash, he’s funny, loyal, and really deserves to have his own story. I’m still holding out hope.
2. Tink – The Wicked Series
Tink is one of those unforgettable side characters. He is absolute chaos and I would love to have a whole book dedicated to him.
3. Mira Sorrengail – Fourth Wing
I connected with Mira right away. I would really love to have a story all about her. I think there is so much more to her that we haven’t seen.
4. Kieran – From Blood and Ash Series
Honestly he’s the only reason I’ve continued to read this series. I would love to see a book where Kiran breaks away from Poppy and Cas and finds someone of his own. I hate how tied he is to them.
5. Ryatt – Plated Prisioner Series
It took me a little while to warm up to Ryatt but once I got to the last few books I just wanted this guy to find his own happy ending, I take a novella just to see him have something of his own.
