I think this is an American School thing? We didn’t have that here in the UK. We did have the Scholastic Book Fair though, which I always enjoyed.
Books & Other Pursuits 
Can’t remember Book It!, but we have Scholastic Book Fair in the United States and I participated year-round as a kid. Loved it.

My daughter’s school is having a Scholastic Book Fair this coming week. I think I look forward to it as much for her sake as I did when I was a child. I hope you have a great weekend, Tracey!
