When Sparks Fly by Helen Hunting

Running the Spark House, a hotel/event space that has been in her family for years, has been Avery Sparkโ€™s lifelong dream. After years of working hard and making personal sacrifices, Avery and her two younger sisters have turned the Spark House into the premier destination in Colorado Springs. Avery is living her best lifeโ€”she works with her sisters and loves every minute of it, she has a great group of friends, and she lives in a fantastic condo with her best friend Declan. She might not have any love in her life, but she’s happy.

But everything comes to a screeching halt when Avery is in a car accident, leaving her immobile for weeks. After nearly losing Avery, Declan insists that he will be the one to take care of her while she recovers. However, as Declan becomes Averyโ€™s caretaker, lines begin to blur.

Avery and Declan have been best friends since college and always had an attraction to one another, but when she ended up dating his best friend, Sam, they successfully stamped down any feelings they may have ever had for one another. Now, as Declan and Avery spend more time together, they each begin to wonder what wouldโ€™ve happened if she’d dated him instead of Sam. What starts as a friend helping out another friend turns into foreplay and, before they realize it, they recognize how deeply they care for one another. But when things get serious their past threatens to destroy everything they have built.

No Judgements by Meg Cabot

The choices we make decide our fate.

When the โ€œstorm of the centuryโ€ severs all power and cell service to Little Bridge Islandโ€”as well as its connection to the mainlandโ€”26-year-old Sabrina โ€œBreeโ€ Beckham isnโ€™t worried . . . at first. She might be on her own, but sheโ€™s got a landline and plenty of supplies.

But Bree does become alarmed when she realizes how many islanders have been cut off from their beloved pets. Now itโ€™s up to her to save as many of Little Bridgeโ€™s cats, dogs, and birds as she canโ€ฆbut to do so, sheโ€™s going to need helpโ€”help that arrives in the form of an entirely different super storm: her bossโ€™s sexy nephew, Drew Hartwell, the islandโ€™s most notorious heartbreaker.

But when her ex shows up just as Bree starts falling for Drew, she has to ask herself if their steamy connection was only a result of the stormy weather, or something that could last during clear skies too.

The Devil Wears Black by L. J. Shen

From USA Today bestselling author L. J. Shen comes a second-chance romance about love, loss, finding yourself, and getting lost in the right person.

Maddie Goldbloom stitched up a plan to ensure everything in her life was perfectโ€”from a career in fashion to a chic NYC apartment to a pediatrician boyfriend.

When her ex, Chase Black, storms back into her life with an outrageous request, her immediate reaction is to refuse him. But he only wants to fulfill his fatherโ€™s last wish. So even though heโ€™s the man who broke her heart, playing his fiancรฉe shouldnโ€™t be hard, especially if it means she gets to watch the arrogant devil squirm a bit.

What ensues is a chain of events that detonates Maddieโ€™s lifeโ€”and when Chaseโ€™s walls come down, they both are forced to face reality.

They say keep your enemies close. But what if your enemy is also the man you love?

I probably won’t be reviewing this one. It was an ok read, if you are into Alpha love interests who are a whole lot douchey then give it a go.
