[Book Review]Where I Should’ve Been by Max Monroe

Small town. Big secrets. And one ridiculously hot mistake she doesnโ€™t regret.

Everyone in the smalltown of Red Bridge, Vermont, knows Tad Hanson, the hot sheep farmer who canโ€™t control his flock. He doesnโ€™t believe in forever, but heโ€™ll be the best time youโ€™ve ever hadโ€”right now. What they donโ€™t know is why.

Heโ€™s too charming, too good with that addicting smile of his, too committed to keeping his dark past buried, and too stubborn to imagine his life could be any other way.

Until a snowstormโ€”and one beautiful womanโ€”send his carefully controlled world spinning.

Successful art director Beatrice โ€œBreezyโ€ Bishop thought she had life figured outโ€”until her father gave her the middle finger from the grave and left the family galleries she built to her entitled younger brother. With nothing left in New York but resentment and regret, she temporarily heads to Red Bridge, looking for space to breathe.

Instead, she finds a sexy, flirty, secret fling with Tad, and a rivalry with the editor of Red Bridgeโ€™s newspaper. Itโ€™s chaotic, but itโ€™s the happiest sheโ€™s ever been.

But secrets never stay secrets for long, and when hearts get involvedโ€”and the universe clearly has other plansโ€”walking away isnโ€™t as easy as they thought.

Review

This is the third book in the Red Bridge Series and it’s the turn of Breezy Bishop and Farmer Tad. This book has all the feels I laughed, I cried and just had such a great time being back in Red Bridge.

Breezy has just left her job in New York and decides to go and spend some time with her Brother Bennett. While staying with him she starts a casual thing with local Sheep Farmer (and the townes most eligible bachelor) Tad. Tad is holding on painful secrets of his own and doesn’t want anything serious until Breezy comes along and changes everything.

I really enjoyed both characters, it was pretty clear early on that Tad was dealing with something pretty heavy and the reveal of what this is was totally heartbreaking. Breezy is also dealing with some complicated family dynamics as well as feeling fairly lost and not really know what she is doing with her life.

Although there is few serious themes going on, there is also a lot of laughter, from crazy sheep antics, nosy town residents to the clash of Bennett and Logan (Breezyโ€™s other Brother) and animal psychic this book really had me howling with laughter at times.

Overall another fantastic read, I was highly entertained throughout and Iโ€™m really hoping for a book about Logan.

My Rating: 4/5 ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ
